The time printed on a package is for the routine method, after the sample reaches the lab in good condition. A report moves later when a sample haemolyses and has to be redrawn, when a marker is sent to a specialist bench, or when a pathologist holds a result that does not fit the rest of the panel.
Packages are not one test. Vitamin D, cultures and some antibodies have their own clocks. The booking page lists the longer of the included methods as a guide.
If the stated time has passed, open Track booking and use the code. The status tells you whether the sample is in processing or already with a pathologist. Calling with the code is faster than calling with only a name.
This article explains how tests are used. It is not a personal diagnosis.
